Continental develops driverless car technology from new Budapest office - VIDEO REPORT

Continental, the globally dominant German giant company, has chosen Hungary to build its newest R&D centre for the development of self-driving vehicles. Integrated into the global network of the business branch for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), the centre is involved in the examination, development and testing of options for the analysis and improvement of AI-based deep machine learning. Thus, the new unit, employing 100 software and hardware experts, will soon shape from Budapest the future of partly or entirely self-driving technologies based on real-time software applications of critical safety.

Tungsram to expand further on the global market - VIDEO REPORT

Tungsram, a Hungarian brand more than 100 years old, was revitalised in 2018 when a company managed by a former executive of GE purchased the EMEAT light source division of GE Lighting together with its global car light division. Nissan decided to expand its Central and Eastern European regional network. Egis to further enhance its creation of added value in Hungary - VIDEO REPORT

A new development project of Egis Pharmaceuticals PLC is to take place at the company's manufacturing unit in Körmend as the result of an investment of EUR 21.8 million. With the aim of facilitating further progress, this new project enables the company to produce and develop Highly Potent (HP) products, which are substances (mainly used in oncology therapy) that can exert strong biological effect in small doses. Besides that, the construction of a new packaging site will also contribute to the unit's capacity.

Jaguar Land Rover announces Technical Engineering Office in Hungary

Jaguar Land Rover opens its new technical engineering office in Budapest to support the company's European supply chain management. The 100 new jobs will complement corporate, R&D, engineering and manufacturing functions headquartered in the UK. JLR chose Hungary because of the close proximity to many key automotive suppliers and the decades-strong track record of automotive engineering talent.

This year’s Automotive Hungary was a great success again

In 2018, Automotive Hungary exhibition boasted with more exhibitors and visitors than ever. This exhibition also grew into a significant regional event in recent years. The three-day event provided an opportunity for the introduction of the most important local actors of the Hungarian automotive sector. Thus the participants could have been acquainted with the significance and results of electromobility and Industry 4.0 technologies.
