Cooperation between HIPA and the Site Selectors Guild is to further strengthen

It was already the third time that the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) participated as a professional partner at the annual conference of the Site Selectors Guild (SSG), this time in Atlanta. Cooperation between one of the world’s most renown association of site selection professionals and HIPA looks back to several years. As a result of cooperation, the first international advisory forum of the Guild was held in Hungary in 2017.

The Site Selectors Guild is the only association of the world’s foremost professional site selection consultants. Guild members provide location strategy to corporations across the globe and for every industry, sector and function, in cooperation with the investment promotion agencies of the different countries. Members are pre-nominated, vetted, and most demonstrate significant professional location advisory experience.

SSG holds its annual conference in one of the cities of the USA where the members of the association together with economic developers and invited experts jointly discuss the most important global and local trends and changes in the industry. The event is a unique opportunity for HIPA to present the Hungarian business and investment environment, to build relationships, and to develop already existing collaborations, as such a focused professional audience is not available anywhere else in the world. HIPA is in contact with a number of Guild members who have brought investment projects to Hungary in the past or who have clients that are currently considering investments in our country.

As part of the professional program in Atlanta, a special investment seminar was held which was attended, in addition to Georgia-based companies with the largest investments in Hungary – such as AGCO, Coca-Cola, or UPS –, by the leaders of the local professional organizations as well as the representatives of companies planning to expand in Europe in the near future.
