German manufacturer of beverage industry machinery expands in Debrecen

Germany's Krones AG is to build its first production unit in Hungary in the framework of an EUR 49 million greenfield investment. The plant in Debrecen will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and, just as in Germany, it will employ highly trained skilled workers and engineers in the manufacturing and assembly. With the help of the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA), the project will create around 500 new jobs.

Diehl Aircabin expands with an engineering centre in Hungary

Based on the successes achieved by the Nyírbátor unit in cockpit element and aircraft parts manufacturing, the German Diehl Aircabin adds another activity in Hungary: it establishes an engineering centre to the value of about EUR 9 million in Debrecen. The 150 high value-added jobs created as a result of the project will provide support primarily to the company's own internal departments.

thyssenkrupp further strengthening its presence in Hungary with the Debrecen factory

thyssenkrupp started its recent investment with the ground breaking ceremony in Debrecen, where the most modern springs and stabilizers will be manufactured for premium car brands. The Hungarian Government – in cooperation with the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) – provided subsidy based on individual government decision to the EUR 35 million investment, creating 250 new jobs by 2020.

Development of Debrecen factory of FAG is unimpeded

FAG Magyarország Ipari Kft., headquartered in Debrecen and belonging to the Schaeffler Group, is increasing its capacity by constructing a new factory hall. The German company has reached an important milestone with its groundbreaking ceremony, since Debrecen will supply bearings to European car factories within the group. Under the project - implemented in cooperation with the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) and the support of the Hungarian Government - several hundred new jobs will be created in the coming period. This development is of great importance for the economic development of not only Debrecen, but also the region.

Alföldi Tej starts development in Debrecen

Hungarian dairy company Alföldi Tej is implementing the largest dairy investment in recent decades in its Debrecen plant: The investment of more than HUF 12 billion will significantly increase the plant's capacity to produce cheese, curd and powdered products. As a result, the milk produced by the Hungarian producers owning the company will enter the domestic and foreign markets at a higher level of processing.

National Instruments celebrates its 15th Hungarian anniversary with a significant expansion

National Instruments (NI) has announced an investment of USD 20 million and in addition to this, the creation of 210 new jobs at the company's Debrecen premises. The announcement took place at the celebratory event on the occasion of the company's 40th and the Debrecen subsidiary's 15th anniversary of creation. The first overseas manufacturing facility of NI has found a true home in Debrecen and has become the most important manufacturing unit of the company. In the last 15 years, NI's subsidiary in Debrecen has grown into a genuine knowledge centre in Eastern-Hungary.
