Latest plant of NHK spring has been opened in Tata
The Japanese automotive giant, NHK Spring, one of the world's leading spring manufacturers and complex automotive suppliers, has established a new manufacturing unit creating 100 jobs in the Tata Industrial Park. The company wishes to reckon with the professional expertise and skills of the Hungarian workforce in the long run. The Japanese company has chosen Hungary due to its strategic geographical location and good accessibility.
NHK Spring has been present on the international market since 1939, and has more than 20,000 employees today all over the world. According to 2014 figures, the company's primary capital was JPY 17 billion (nearly EUR 126 million) and its sales revenue was JPY 570 billion (nearly EUR 4.2 billion).
The company's products comprise automotive springs, railway parts, access control systems, multi-storey car park systems and computer parts. At present, NHK Spring is one of the world's leading automotive spring manufacturers and complex automotive suppliers. Due to an increased number of orders from Europe, they plan to manufacture 3.5 million car springs and 1.2 million stabilisers by 2020 at the plant providing 100 new jobs.
Levente Magyar, Minister of State for Economic Diplomacy stressed: The investment worth EUR 35.5 million received a contribution from the Hungarian Government in the amount of EUR 2.8 million. The Minister of State added: After meeting the management of the Japanese company in Tokyo last year, NHK made the positive investment decision for Hungary.
