Swiss wood company to use the latest technologies in Vásárosnamény

Construction of the new plant of SWISS KRONO GROUP in Hungary was completed in nine months, announced Dr. László Szabó, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs of Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade. As a result of the EUR 95 million development project, one of the world's leading producers of engineered wood products will manufacture excellent quality ecological wood products in its plant in Hungary. According to an individual government decision, the project was subsidised by the Hungarian government, through the consultancy services of the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA).

National Instruments celebrates its 15th Hungarian anniversary with a significant expansion

National Instruments (NI) has announced an investment of USD 20 million and in addition to this, the creation of 210 new jobs at the company's Debrecen premises. The announcement took place at the celebratory event on the occasion of the company's 40th and the Debrecen subsidiary's 15th anniversary of creation. The first overseas manufacturing facility of NI has found a true home in Debrecen and has become the most important manufacturing unit of the company. In the last 15 years, NI's subsidiary in Debrecen has grown into a genuine knowledge centre in Eastern-Hungary.

Investment by Mitsuba establishes 150 Jobs in Salgótarján

The Japanese automotive company which celebrates seventy years of tradition this year and which specializes in manufacturing automotive electronics products has delivered its newest plant in the Nógrád county seat. Due to the enlargement that is worth EUR 13.52 million (approximately HUF 4.3 billion), 150 new jobs will be created. The investment which has been realised in cooperation with the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) received a contribution from the Hungarian Government in the amount of HUF 850 million.

Alumetal opens a production plant in Hungary

Investments still on the rise in H1 2016

Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) successfully negotiated 38 investment projects in the first half of 2016, a 27% increase compared to the same period in 2015. The projects may create as many as 8,529 new jobs, and generate inward flows of foreign direct investment of € 1.33 billion, almost as much as in 2015 (€ 1.4 billion). In terms of sectoral distribution, the automotive industry has remained ahead, followed by the SSC (Shared Service Center) sector and the food industry. The US and Germany have been the two largest investors.
