Xellia’s new pharmaceutical laboratory delivered in Budapest

The latest development by the Danish pharmaceutical company Xellia Pharmaceuticals has been completed at its Kőbánya site, Budapest. As Xellia's centre of excellence, the laboratory constructed as part of a development of EUR 11 million will operate as a testing centre for active ingredients produced by all units and so it will play an important role in the global operating strategy of the Danish pharmaceutical company. As a result of the expansion, more than 40 new jobs have been created so far, and through the ongoing hiring process Xellia would increase the size of the team participating in the operation of centralised laboratory services to 80 in 2019.


Leier continues to see Hungary as the possibility for development

Leier's investment in the value of EUR 22.9 million in total, affecting six out of its nine sites in Hungary will involve the start of world-class technological and logistic developments, along with the creation of 101 new jobs. The aim of the company is not only to modernise production but also to produce more and more advanced building materials. Under an individual government decision - with the cooperation of the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) - the Hungarian Government provided a subsidy to promote the investment.


Expansion of EUR 11 million as a confirmation of 20 years of success

Hübner GmbH, a German automotive supplier increases the manufacturing capacity of its plant in Nyíregyháza with an investment of close to EUR 11 million, resulting in 125 new jobs. In addition to the procurement of new machines and the introduction of modern manufacturing technologies, also the construction of a new hall – the fourth one – will be started from 2018. Under an individual government decision, with the cooperation of the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA), the Hungarian Government provided a subsidy to promote the investment.


The logistics and service centre of Bosch in Miskolc is at full speed

In Miskolc, the investment of Robert Bosch Power Tool Elektromos Szerszámgyártó Kft. in the amount of EUR 5.1 million has been concluded. In the Regional Service Centre operating at full capacity, 260 new jobs have been created, this number is larger by 55 than the number expected at the beginning of the project. Under an individual government decision, the Hungarian Government provided a subsidy through the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) to promote the investment.


Hungary attracts more and more high added-value investments

Based on H1 2017 data, the number of foreign direct investments (FDI) continues to grow in Hungary: a positive decision was made with the support of the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) in relation to a record-breaking 47 investment projects in the first six months of this year. These investments mean EUR 1.37 billion FDI inflow and create 8,502 new jobs. Only 13 of the 47 projects are new investors, while the most is technological development or extension of staff of companies already present in Hungary, which means they're satisfied with the Hungarian workforce and the investment environment.


Sicta continues to expand flagship manufacturing facility

Sicta is on a roll implementing an about EUR 11 million project in Felsőzsolca. The French automotive supplier specializing in metal foundry is to create 115 new jobs. The Hungarian Government – in cooperation with the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) – provided subsidy based on individual government decision for the project.


HELL hands over Hungary’s first aluminium beverage can factory in Szikszó

Due to the aluminium beverage can factory recently handed over, uniquely in Europe, the production of both cans and soft drinks takes place within the same group. In its new plant constructed in the framework of a EUR 97 million investment, QUALITY PACK Zrt., member of the HELL Group, will produce approximately 1.2 billion pieces of 250 ml aluminium beverage cans and ends yearly. In addition, major developments are taking place in the filling, logistics and commercial units as well. As a result of the expansion, 320 new jobs will be created by the end of 2019.


The German company that is also an Airbus supplier is expanding in Nyírbátor again

With an investment of HUF 3.7 billion, the German-owned Diehl Aircabin, which manufactures aircraft parts, extends its site in Nyírbátor. The project creating 230 new jobs includes the expansion of the Nyírbátor site and acquisition of new buildings and machinery. The Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) supported the project as a professional adviser during the decision process.


Focusing on large county cities and the SSC industry

The Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) and British Telecom (BT) held a joint presentation on Hungary entitled "Doing Business in Hungary" for the leaders of international companies in London. At the Global Expansion Summit organised between 18 and 20 June – in addition to the general information – the HIPA presented the possibilities inherent in large county cities and in the SSC industry in line with the latest trends. There was a great interest in the centrally located booth, where anyone interested received comprehensive information on the Hungarian investment climate.
