Viessmann is establishing a shared service centre in Pécs

As part of Viessmann's expanding cooperation with Hungary, the group is creating a new shared service centre (SSC) in Pécs. The third Hungarian unit of the German company will provide customer support mainly in the area of after-sales, in cooperation with the technical services group operating in Allendorf, Germany. With reliance on university resources, the decision made in favour of Pécs was based on the availability of technologically qualified specialists with foreign language skills.


thyssenkrupp further strengthening its presence in Hungary with the Debrecen factory

thyssenkrupp started its recent investment with the ground breaking ceremony in Debrecen, where the most modern springs and stabilizers will be manufactured for premium car brands. The Hungarian Government – in cooperation with the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) – provided subsidy based on individual government decision to the EUR 35 million investment, creating 250 new jobs by 2020.


Development of Debrecen factory of FAG is unimpeded

FAG Magyarország Ipari Kft., headquartered in Debrecen and belonging to the Schaeffler Group, is increasing its capacity by constructing a new factory hall. The German company has reached an important milestone with its groundbreaking ceremony, since Debrecen will supply bearings to European car factories within the group. Under the project - implemented in cooperation with the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) and the support of the Hungarian Government - several hundred new jobs will be created in the coming period. This development is of great importance for the economic development of not only Debrecen, but also the region.


Hungary’s leading plastic film manufacturing base is developed in Soltvadkert

Material-Plastik begins the biggest development in its history: under a project worth EUR 10 million, a new 6,000-square-metre factory hall is established and the existing fleet of machinery is also developed. As a result of the expansion, the Hungarian family-owned company can further expand its exports and is also ready to enter the US and Russian markets.


Central Europe’s most modern pork-processing plant delivered in Mohács

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Sándor Csányi, shareholder of MCS Vágóhíd Zrt., have officially delivered the most modern slaughterhouse of the region in Mohács. The pig slaughtering, deboning, cutting and meat packing plant established with an investment of EUR 6.7 million is able to slaughter 800,000 normal-weight pigs and 100,000 heavy-weight pigs. The pigs come in part from the small and medium-sized livestock farming members of the Bonafarm farmer cooperation system and in part from independent domestic pig farmers. Once the new slaughterhouse runs at full capacity, it will provide jobs to more than 600 people.


The Hungarian automotive industry’s step into a new dimension is a joint objective

Representatives of the major OEMs and automotive suppliers present in Hungary, small and medium-sized Hungarian supplier enterprises, institutions of higher education responsible for the training of labour supply and the government were represented on the highest level and in large numbers at the fourth Automotive Conference organised by the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA). The event aims to provide an opportunity for sector participants to discuss the present and future possibilities of vehicle manufacturing, thereby supporting cooperation and the future development of the sector.


Unique waterfowl and feather processing plant to be set up in Mélykút

HUNENT is establishing a complex waterfowl slaughterhouse and a feather processing plant in Mélykút, equipped with the most state-of-the-art technology. The greenfield investment worth some EUR 40 million includes the construction of processing and packaging plants as well as cold stores and office buildings. The Hungarian Government – with the cooperation of the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) – provided a subsidy based on individual government decision to promote the investment.


RUAG expands with new division in Hungary

RUAG Aerostructures, a major player in the aerospace industry, opened its new factory in Eger. It will be the Switzerland-based aircraft section producers third plant to complement the ones in Germany and Switzerland. The investment worth of EUR 6.15 million will create 180 jobs until the end of 2017.


EUR 1.5 billion and 6,000 new jobs on stage

With the support of the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA), positive decisions were made on investment projects to be implemented in Hungary in the case of more than ever, a total of 71 projects last year. HIPA awarded the most outstanding of these at the annual 'Investors of the Year' gala event in the Ceremonial Hall of Pesti Vigadó. The awards were handed over by Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Robert Ésik, President of HIPA.
