AiMotive Informatikai Kft., that has been a Stellantis member company since last year, has embarked on a EUR 55 million R&D project to develop an artificial intelligence platform that will provide Level 3 self-driving capabilities for all car models produced by the group. The investment, scheduled to be completed by the end of April 2026, will create 40 new high value-added jobs.
Specializing in automated driving solutions, aiMotive Informatikai Kft. became part of Stellantis Group in November 2022 which was the largest exit in Hungarian start-up history. Stellantis, a company formed by the merger of PSA and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), has industrial activities in 30 countries and products in more than 130 markets.
aiMotive offers an integrated portfolio of software, tools and hardware products, complemented by in-house developed data management tools. Most of its flagship products are available to all external partners: the aiSim simulation tool, aiData, a complete suite of self-driving software for automated driving data control services, and aiWare, a hardware optimized to run neural networks. On the other hand, aiDrive, a full-stack software for autonomous driving, is exclusively for Stellantis vehicles.
The company, which also has presence in the US, Germany and Japan, has now launched a EUR 55 million R&D program that will enable Level 3 (L3) self-driving for Stellantis’ entire range of car models.
