American Supplier Ventures Into EV Territory With Large-Scale Investment

Thanks to a EUR 59.6 million investment BorgWarner takes its Hungarian operation to the next level in Oroszlány, Hungary. The American automotive supplier will add new products to its portfolio to serve demand in the hybrid and electric drivetrain segment. The project is set to create 60 new jobs.
BorgWarner is an American automotive corporation with a tradition of nearly 100 years that has presence in 19 countries across the world, including Hungary. The site of the Hungarian subsidiary in Oroszlány that has been functioning since 2000 will now be extended thanks to a EUR 59.6 million investment.
As a result, the company can start manufacturing new products for hybrid and electric vehicles on top of the currently produced turbo chargers.
The new machinery is scheduled to be installed in early 2024. The project is set to trigger the creation of 60 jobs.
