CALL FOR PROPOSAL REOPENS FOR THE SUBSIDY TO IMPROVE COMPETITIVENESS WITH NEW CONDITIONS
2020. 11. 23.
The Hungarian Government has decided to support the businesses affected by the coronavirus pandemic by allocating more than HUF 221 billion to this subsidy scheme. The subsidy has been designed to support companies with an investment plan of at least EUR 150,000 and with the intention to maintain the existing jobs. For those companies that have successfully applied for the subsidy, more than HUF 163 billion has been transferred until today.
Based on the governmental measures, the Call for Subsidy to improve competitiveness (id. no. VNT-2020-1) will be available again for medium-sized and large enterprises with the budget of HUF 50 billion and it is possible to accept new applications.
Applications can be submitted from 12:00 AM on 25 November 2020, but afterwards it may be closed due to the limited budget, in accordance with the Call for proposal.
Please be informed that the Call for proposal, the Application form and the Official declaration on providing cash incentive have been changed for those companies that submit their application from November 25, 2020. In order to submit a valid application, please use the new application form, as the older version cannot be accepted.
The main differences in the Call for proposal are the following:
- The amount of aid is 33% of the investment instead of 50%.
- Earlier beneficiaries have committed to maintain their base headcount from the date of the application until the end of the investment, but at least until December 31, 2020, but now it has been changed to June 30, 2021. The base headcount of the applicant has to be at least 30 persons.
- New beneficiaries shall commit to implement their investment in the net amount of not less than EUR 150,000 in Hungary until December 31, 2021.
