Csaba Metál has developed into an important European automotive supplier

The Hungarian family business that has grown into a reputed and recognized supplier at European level for the automotive industry further develops its facilities. The EUR 18.5 million capacity expanding investment of Csaba Metál Zrt. generating 165 new jobs will enable robotised cellular casting manufacturing thanks to the deployment of state-of-the-art industrial equipment and technology in the new manufacturing workshops. Among the customers of the manufacturer of aluminium castings are, among others, BMW, Volkswagen or ZF but also the Continental and Bosch Groups.

Csaba Metál  is an excellent example for a continuously expanding family business that has grown into an important European player as well. The company going back to a tradition of 25 years started up with a headcount of a few employees but by now it ensures a good living for nearly 1,000 employees.

At the Békéscsaba site of the company a wide array of products are manufactured from high-precision components for the automotive industry through spare parts for the furniture industry to components for agricultural machines. At the Szeghalom facility, chassis for buses, complete carcases and other components for commercial vehicles are manufactured.

In order to be able to satisfy the increasing volume of orders, the company had to leverage its manufacturing capacities to a new level. In the framework of the development, die-casting machines, machining centres and controlling and supplementary equipment, industrial robots, cutting and plating machines have been put into operation, along with the construction of manufacturing workshops for the deployment of the machine park.

The castings made by Csaba Metál are incorporated, among others, in the passenger cars of the following brands: Audi, Jaguar, Mercedes, Ferrari and Porsche and in the commercial vehicles of Caterpilar and Scania. The company sells about 80% of its products in the form of direct exports but those sold in Hungary are also exported in an indirect way.
