HIPA joins Startup Safary the second time
2018. 04. 19.
Having already organised in about 20 cities around the world, the series of events called Startup Safary was joined by Budapest in 2017. The newly organised two-day startup festival attracted as many as 3,000 participants. Following the corporate innovation workshop in the last year, the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) presents specific training programmes and international speakers on both days to bring corporations striving for innovation and agile Hungarian startups closer to each other this year.
Organised on 19–20 April 2018, Budapest Safary is a two-day festival in the capital city with more than 250 programmes at more than 70 venues offered for more than 3,500 participants who have registered by now. The special world of startups is explored by informal business breakfasts, office tours, professional conversations, training programmes, presentations, workshops, and evening parties.
During the Corporate Innovation Workshop organised on Thursday, excellent international peers including Tanya Soman (USA), Jurgis Didzioulis (Lithuania) or Eddie Arrieta (Colombia) are going to deliver their interactive presentations in the HIPA headquarters. The training programme focuses on the opportunities and benefits of the innovation-oriented cooperation of corporations and startups for the audience representing both sectors.
The Friday programme especially focuses on Hungarian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and startups. The workshop entitled "An insight into the investor's mindset" lets the registered audience of almost fifty persons look into the investors' way of thinking, the progress of negotiations as well as the secrets of effective and efficient presentation thanks to Hungarian and international speakers.
By supporting the event, the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) wishes to reinforce the dialogue and cooperation between the startup scene, the investors and the corporate sector, also satisfying the drive for challenges and adventures of new generation employees by creating further workplaces of high added value. We have the foundations we need since the 2017 baseline report of IBM Global Location Trends shows that Hungary produced the 5th best results considering the added value of jobs created in the national economy globally.
