Hübner's top production centre is further improving in Nyíregyháza

Hübner-H's latest investment, of about EUR 11 million, is coming to an end in Nyíregyháza. Alongside comprehensive developments targeted at the manufacturing technology and the related IT background in the company group's largest production centre, construction work is just about to finish on the company's fourth production plant on 8,600 square metres, with the potential to create 125 new jobs.

Hübner Group, which was founded in Germany more than 70 years ago, manufactures rubber and plastic products for traffic engineering (such as railway vehicles, buses, airport systems, cars, commercial vehicles) and medicine. Its product portfolio includes gangway flexible bellows, articulation systems, gangway and window systems, polyurethane products, as well as rubber and plastic based moulded items. Today the company has representations in more than 30 countries around the world, and is present in over 25 countries.

Its Hungarian subsidiary, Hübner-H focuses on public transportation through its tool manufacturing services, which is the strongest branch of the group. Hübner-H has taken a lead role in the region for more than 20 years now. Due to constant technological advancements, the Nyíregyháza plant has become the centre of production on group level, giving work to some 840 people. Hübner-H has a wide range of products. It manufactures gangway systems for articulated buses, trams, metros and trains. Yet, rapid improvement can be seen in its making of special rubber industry products too, such as door and window sealing systems and profiles and rubber frames.

In the framework of the company's latest complex investment programme, of around EUR 11 million, the plan in Nyíregyháza is purchasing new machinery, ready to switch to the necessary modern production technology. In addition, the investment will also welcome the opening of a fourth production plant, covering an area of 8,600 square metres. Skilled workforce succession will be ensured via the maintenance of its already successful dual training programme with the University of Nyíregyháza.
