JYSK to establish a regional centre in Hungary - VIDEO REPORT

JYSK announced to build a distribution centre in Ecser, to provide stores in seven countries with goods. Due to this investment worth EUR 200 million, the Danish furniture company is going to create 300 new jobs.

The founder and owner of JYSK, an international furniture and home retail chain, is Lars Larsen, formerly known as the number one trader of Denmark throughout the country. Following the opening of its first shop in 1979, JYSK opened its first store abroad in the neighbouring Germany. By now, JYSK has as many as 2,800 stores in 52 countries worldwide. Furthermore, Her Majesty, the Queen of Denmark allowed JYSK to use the designation "official supplier of the Danish Royal Court". This recognition is awarded to credible, economically reliable, reputable companies and individuals who have been cooperating with the Royal Court for many years only.

JYSK has been present in Hungary since 2004, with its headquarters and 16 sites located in Budapest, currently employing more than 770 people in total. As a result of the latest investment that was just announced, a regional logistics distribution centre is going to be built in Ecser, supplying stores in seven countries (Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina) with goods. The 143,000 square metres building will have a capacity of 205,000 pallets and is scheduled for completion in 2022.
