NEW TRAINING SUBSIDY FOR INVESTMENTS TO BE IMPLEMENTED THROUGHOUT HUNGARY

A new training-related incentive program has been introduced on the basis of individual government decision according to Government Decree 463/2020 (X.21.) amending Government Decree 210/2014. (VIII.27.) on the use of the Earmarked Scheme for Investment promotion.
As a result of the current amendment the training subsidy is available for those enterprises that commit to the implementation of an investment project in Hungary as well as to the maintenance of already existing jobs, or create new high value-added jobs in the business services sector.
The aim of the new training subsidy is to encourage and to assist the implementation of training projects that provide the necessary knowledge to increase the skills and competences of the employees by providing a non-refundable, post-financed cash grant throughout Hungary.
Should the enterprises establish or expand a business service center and create at least 25 new jobs, or implement an investment project with a value of at least EUR 5 million, they may be eligible for the training subsidy with the following conditions:
- the training subsidy may not exceed 50% of the eligible training costs;
- the training subsidy may not exceed EUR 5,000 per trainee;
- the total amount of the training subsidy to be provided for the training project may not exceed EUR 2 million.
