The company has so far decided to invest EUR 5 billion in Hungary, creating more than 6,600 new jobs. Samsung SDI is now investing EUR 61.9 million in a large-scale project to accelerate its R&D activities; it is also the largest R&D project ever managed by HIPA. The decision will result in creating 25 related jobs.

At the same time, the company, together with Óbuda University, launched an industry-focused program in Hungary for the first time this spring, which will be available as an intensive course from September for engineering students interested in learning about the industry. The course will provide participants with the theoretical and practical knowledge that will enable them to enter the battery industry after graduation.
