Howmet-Köfém Kft. invests EUR 44.9 million to implement a substantial extension of its wheel plant in Székesfehérvár. The project to be completed by early 2025 will create 80 new jobs.
Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Howmet Aerospace is a global leader in delivering state-of-the-art engineering solutions for aviation and transport. The American company has been present in Hungary since 1991, and it now broke ground on a wheel plant extension at its Székesfehérvár site.
The development in value of EUR 44.9 million will significantly expand the company’s capacity in Europe to produce forged aluminum wheels.
This expansion increases the company’s footprint in Hungary with production in the plant extension expected to begin 2025 first quarter.
