TCS Service Centre in Budapest has grown by a new unit - VIDEO REPORT

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) opened a new Global Digital Delivery Center in Budapest – creating 500 new jobs −, which will carry out high added-value activities in the field of information technology and cognitive business processes focusing on digital transformation and complex technological solutions.

At present, the Tata Group, founded in 1868, consists of 30 businesses that cover the whole spectrum of the sectors of economy by their activities. The multinational conglomerate, headquartered in Mumbai, India is present in more than 100 countries on six continents of the world, employing a total of more than 700,000 people, according to the latest data.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), belonging to the corporate group, is India's largest IT enterprise and at the same time the leading software development and software service company in Asia that employs more than 450,000 people in nearly 50 countries of the world.

TCS's first Global Service Centre was established in Budapest in 2001, providing global support 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Budapest site – which has been chosen as the best service centre of the whole Tata Group recently – provides, among other things, business solutions, consulting and IT services around the world.

Tata's development in Hungary shows that they have found a real home in Budapest: only a few dozen engineers started work in 2001, by today, however, around 2,500 highly qualified multilingual engineers, economists, IT specialists and developers are employed.
