The third production hall of Qualitative Production (QP) was opened in Győr, where production will take place at an area of 6000 square meters, and the applied technology is in accordance with the spirit of Industry 4.0. The engineers of the Hungarian automotive supplier, celebrating its quarter century jubilee this year, have designed production lines with a high level of automation, in cooperation with a Japanese machine manufacturer company. Many elements and parts of these production lines have been manufactured by QP's custom manufacturing field. The EUR 20 million green field investment, implemented in association with the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA), will create 120 new jobs.

The story of the Qualitative Production Mechanical Industry and Commercial Ltd. in Győr is an excellent example of how a Hungarian small enterprise can become one of the TIER-1 suppliers of the international automotive industry, through having the proper objectives, management, organizational- and process management solutions. The company's primary area of operation covers metalworking, and besides series production, also full custom manufacturing: the designing and production of custom machines and devices, in the small-, medium-, and large size ranges, from parts manufacturing to purpose-made machines, and also 3D tool machining. Thanks to the enduring, quality work of the past 25 years, QP has partners like Audi, Bridgestone, Dana, Grundfos, Knorr-Bremse, Mercedes-Benz, Nemak, and Stadler.

The complex development now handed over was preceded by an order by the Mexican Nemak company, for the machining of three new kinds of cylinder heads, thanks to many years of successful cooperation. The new developments ensure the whole production volume of the three new types, making QP a strategic supplier of Nemak. The development is implemented in five years, to reach the full capacity of 500,000 cylinder heads per year. With this production volume and new technologies, the Hungarian company is heading towards becoming a TIER-1 supplier.

The third production hall of the QP3 project represents a milestone in the life of the company: not only the production area is doubled, also the technology and production processes, elaborated in cooperation with Japanese engineers on the Industry 4.0 concept, open up new perspectives. Many elements and parts of the machines and devices now installed have been designed and created by QP's custom production branch. In connection with the 120 new jobs, the company would also like to ensure continuous training, career management and building, development of the workplace culture, and the introduction of family -friendly solutions.
