German SICK is increasing its capacity in Hungary by building a new production hall and warehouse. The market-leading company in the field of intelligent sensor production will create 266 new jobs with a greenfield investment of EUR 25 million.

Founded in 1946, Germany-based SICK is a market leader worldwide in intelligent sensor manufacturing. The company provides products and services primarily in the areas of manufacturing, logistics and process automation.

Sensors have been manufactured at the Kunsziget site in Győr-Moson-Sopron County since 1996; now worth over € 80 million a year, currently with about 630 employees.

As part of the capacity expansion project, the company will double the area of its site, where it will build an additional production hall and a warehouse and will purchase new production equipment to increase the flexibility of electronic card production.
