As part of its first investment in Hungary, Russia-based Arnest Group establishes a production plant and a warehouse by investing EUR 48.5 million to produce personal care and household products. The project that is set to create 256 new jobs will be carried out in Alsózsolca in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county.

As an addition to its current presence in Russia and Scotland, Arnest Group sets up shop for the first time in Central-East-Europe by implementing a brownfield investment. As a result, the business is expected to have the capacity to manufacture up to 300 million aerosols per year in its aerosol filling and metal packaging plant of 16,000 sqm in Alsózsolca. In order to ensure quality work, the future 256 employees will be trained to gain special knowledge on aerosol filling and aluminum packaging.

The investment in Hungary marks the beginning of a new stage for Arnest Group. We started to investigate Hungary due to its excellent geography in Central Europe – Hungary is situated in the heart of the continent, which grants comfort access to our partners in Europe. Moreover, Hungary has a growing, resilient economy with a business friendly economic environment. We have also received professional support from HIPA which had a huge impact on our choice. We are positive that our operations in Alsózsolca will contribute to the future success of Arnest Group,

said Andrey Borshchev, Commercial Director of JSC Arnest.

Having a tradition of over fifty years, Arnest Group produces aluminum boxes, tubes, and aerosol packaging. It has been handling contractmanufacturing of perfumes, cosmetics as well as household chemicals since 2000, and it has become the largest aerosol manufacturer of Western Europe.

The product range of the company concerned by contract manufacturing contains over 1,000 items to which new product types are added time after time. Revenues of the corporate group amounted to EUR 365 mln in 2020, whereas the number of its employees exceeded 3,200. Among its partners are Henkel, L'Oreal, Unilever and BASF.
